Moving Day

Internet Marketing for FREE has closed down...


...but it hasn't gone away!


I started IMfF as a means to try and help the new internet marketer (like me) who is on a very limited budget (like me) find quality Internet Marketing material to learn the business without breaking the bank. My idea is that when I find some thing of quality, I would share it.

Well, there are still plenty of quality free ebooks and reports about IM available (if anything, the number is growing) and I am still finding more and more really good ones. I have not run out of things to talk about.

What I am running short on is Time

Which is a good thing. My business is finally taking off and I am devoting more and more time to it. You can check out most of my content websites simply be visiting MyEverydayLife.

During a period of learning about blogs, I started several of them that I have since decided to discontinue and a few that have actually taken off and done very well such as The Best Copycat Restaurant Recipes Blog and Everyday Lists.

Not Leaving --- Just Moving

I have a second Internet Marketing Blog which started out with the purpose of chronicling my journey from beginnner to (hopefully) successful Internet Marketer. As time has gone on I realize that having the two separate blogs is silly. So I am moving the contents of this blog to Everyday Internet Marketing.
I hope to continue to track my progress while also sharing any good deals and quality educational materials I find.

Save Money With 3 Unbelievably Free Online Marketing Methods

If budget is your main concern when marketing online or when you just started out, no on can blame you.

A lot of free internet marketing services are now made available online and you can utilize them for your marketing campaigns. There is a lot of information online actually which are readily made available at no cost to everyone. You just need to find them.

Here are 3 free online marketing methods that you can use and save money as well.

Method 1 - Submit your website to search engines, web directories, blog directories, etc.

There are a lot of places where you can submit your website for free and the best places to submit them are directories. Directories have an authority on the internet as a site that holds relevant links and information divided into separate categories.

So you get free backlinks your websites plus the traffic that comes from these directories and search engines. It takes some effort though to be submitting to a whole lot of them and you can do that a few times a day or week.

Method 2 - Enhance your content articles

If you have been writing and placing content on your website, it is time to take a look at your writing and improve on it. Use free keyword research tools to optimize your future content and doing so will bring you up higher in the search engine rankings and that equates to free traffic for you.

You can also update your old articles and content periodically to suit the current market. Again this is free and only takes up your time.

Method 3 - Use the widely available free articles

If you cannot write or you are just plain lazy, you can try getting free articles from the various article directories as content for your website. Some of these articles have keyword optimized articles and if not many people are using them and if they rank high on the search engines, you could be having the same results as well.

Just ensure that you give the proper credit to the authors by retaining the resource box of the articles. You do not want to get into trouble with copyrights.

Once you have profits rolling in, you can invest them by outsourcing these methods.

3 Tactics Affiliate Marketers Can Use to Make More Money

Here's an excellent article by Jinger Jarrett. In #3 she makes much the same point I made in my last two posts and in the last three post on Everyday Internet Marketing.

Jinger runs a blog that is very similar to what I have in mind to build here. She has been at it longer and has a wealth of free information and products for download. Check her site out at the link at the bottom. I highly recommend it.

As an affiliate marketer, it is sometimes much easier to make money online. After all, you don't have to focus on product creation or customer service. Once you build your affiliate website, or sites, then you can simply focus on marketing those sites and then collecting the paychecks.


Although there are many tactics you can use to increase the size of your affiliate paychecks, here are three that will help you quickly boost your affiliate commissions:


These three tactics are:


1. Create a unique page to promote each of the affiliate products that you are selling.


Each page should be optimized for the search engines, and you should write a keyword rich review of the product. Include the product name in the title, as well as in the body of the review. Often searchers will search for a product by name, and this can really help you with your search engine rankings.


Learn as much about the product as you can before you write your review, and buy the product if you can. You'll write a better review because you'll know things about the product that the average affiliate doesn't know. Testimonials from customers, photos of the product, and articles about the topic the product is related to will also help support your review.


Internet searchers also love reviews because it's a chance for them to find out more about the products they are interested in buying.


Although it's a lot more time consuming to create a unique page for each product you are promoting, in the long run, it's a lot better for your business because you have more to offer than the average affiliate.


2. Build a list by giving away free reports.


Most affiliates don't bother to build a list, and so they have to work harder to get traffic instead of simply recycling the traffic they have. Also, because they tend to use the ads and other promotional materials that the merchant offers, instead of creating their own, they lose their opportunity to be unique and make the sale.


If you can write a short report on your topic/affiliate product, you are way ahead of other affiliates. This is an opportunity for you to offer your potential customers more information, and it also gives them an incentive to join your list.


You benefit because it gives you an opportunity to recycle your traffic by allowing you to send multiple sales messages to your readers. Readers are more likely to buy if they have a relationship with you, and they've been exposed to the product offering more than one time.


3. Drive targeted traffic to your website.


The difference between targeted traffic and untargeted traffic is that targeted traffic usually comes from those who are looking for what you have to offer. They are more receptive to buying.


In addition to search engine optimization, you can also write articles to submit for publication on article directories, as well as ezines. Since most ezine directories don't accept articles with affiliate links in them anymore, it's crucial that you have your own website.


Try to write at least two articles per week, and make sure they are at least 300 to 600 words. Write and submit consistently as this is the easiest way to ensure a steady flow of traffic to your site.


Although there are many tactics you can use to increase your affiliate commissions, I have found these three to be some of the most highly effective. Although they do take some time to implement, they will help you substantially increase your profits from your affiliate business.

I was NOT Entirely Truthful in my Last Post -- Shame on Me!

In my last post I recommended the Free Bum Marketing Course by Travis Sago.

I did NOT lie about that. It is a wonderful course and should be required viewing for every aspiring internet marketer -- whether she has money or not.

When I did lie was when I said that I was going to find out if Bum Marketing works. Actually that not exactly true -- I read about Bum Marketing some time ago and I have been putting it to practice. What I am going to do now is USE it consistantly.

Why?

Because I know Bum Marketing works.

I'll show you. Type "cheap bbq ideas" into Google. Here, I'll do it for you cheap bbq ideas

Look at #4. As of this writing #4 is me. Not my site, mind you, but an article I wrote from a directory called Search Warp. If you read my piece on article marketing on Everyday Internet Marketing you know how this works. I place the article on the article directory and people read it. My link is at the bottom and some people click it. Unfortunately The Weekend Grillers is not on page one for "cheap bbq ideas" -- but fortunately, thanks to article marketing and Bum Marketing, a link to The Grillers is!

That's just one. "Anything can happen one time." Sure...okay, try:

cheap BBQ -- #6 from SearchWarp
grilling problems -- #4 & 5 from Ezine Articles (Hey! The 'Grillers are #8)
Mike Linnig's -- #8 from SearchWarp

How is this possible?

That's the thing that makes Bum Marketing work as Travis discovered. These articles are ranking higher on the article directories than the same articles on my sites (yes, all of them are on the sites also) because of the "ranking power" of the directory. My sites are brand to fairly new. As such they have very few links to help gain page rank. These directories have thousands of incoming links and very high page ranks in Google (Ezine Articles had a 7 last I checked.) Bum Marketing is nothing more than "using" the "ranking power" of the directories for your own gain.
Does this bother me?

Of course not. If it is still happening in a couple of years, then yes, it will bother me. Because by that time I hope that I have built my sites up to a point that they are ranking highly for their keywords in Google. Until I can do that, I will take the link from the directories.

Bum Marketing

Over on my Everyday Internet Marketing website I have been writing about my triumphs and setbacks as I work on the 90 Day Challenge (90DC) from PLR Pro.

90 Day Challenge is an interesting program. Follow their instructions and at the end of the 90 days (or 90 steps actually -- go at your own speed) you will have 12 working websites and should be making money. In fact, they guarantee it.

Follow along as I attempt the challenge and veiw that sites I make at Everyday Internet Marketing.

Yesterday I started onto the second phase of the challenge. Having constructed the first 4 sites (seeEveryday Internet Marketing for the addresses), I now start to promote them. One of the first promotion techniques the 90DC teaches is Article Marketing.

For those not familiar with article marketing I put up a post today at -- you guessed it -- Everyday Internet Marketing, explaining it in depth.


Do you see a pattern here. It is my hope that Internet Marketing for FREE and Everyday Internet Marketing will work hand-in-hand to help all of us to become better internet marketers. If you are reading one, do yourself a favor and start reading both. Better yet, subscribe to the feed and the newsletter.



Now there are many excellent books out there one the topic of article marketing, including many free ones. But there is only one book that invented affliliate marketing using articles. If you want to market your products, website or affiliates products without spending any money -- do it like a bum.

Bum marketing is the term coined by Travis Sago to explain how simple his marketing method is (even a "bum" with no money could do it.) The best thing about it is that even the course is free. Travis presents it completely on the web with article and video -- in plain language.

Does it work? Well, that's what I'm trying to find out. Remember -- Everyday Internet Marketing?

The Death of the Salesletter

Here's an article and report I read recently. The article is a bit old (2007 - practically ancient by internet standards) but it and the report are still very much relevant.

The article is written by expert copywriter, Michael Fortin "the Success Doctor". The report he offers, "The Death of the Salesletter", is good reading for any aspiring internet marketer and is, of course, FREE.

The New Year is here. And in keeping with that famed New Year tradition, people are making their predictions for 2007: Web 2.0, online trends, Internet flops, business successes, new technologies, ad nauseum.

It’s been a week since I posted, and there’s a very good reason. (You’ll see why in a moment.)

For the first time ever, I’ve decided to make some predictions of my own. I’m no futurist by any stretch. But I wanted to particularly share with you something I’m not only really passionate about, but also something I’m seeing happening, right now, mostly behind the scenes that’s going to affect online copywriting in significant ways.
